Digital Camera World - UK (2019-10)

(Antfer) #1
OCTOBER 2019 DIGITAL CAMERA^3

Welcome

hat’s your favourite time for photography? It’s
a given that autumn and spring will be near the
top of the list, but trying to choose a favourite
between them is tricky. With its promise of
renewal, plus temperatures starting to rise, spring may have
an edge in the contest, but there’s something irresistible
about nature’s colour palette as it starts to wind down for
winter. And that’s what we’re celebrating this issue – so
if you’re looking for tips on shooting your best autumn
landscapes, wildlife and nature, go straight to page 40.
Also in this issue, we focus on art-led approaches to
photography (p8 and p37), showcase the winning entries
in Bird Photographer of the Year 2019 (p64), and demystify
in-camera processing (p52). Finally, all the best to technique
editor Lauren, who has left to join our
sister title Digital Photographer.
Enjoy the issue.
