Offering yet another stunning example of highly complicated watchmaking
inspired by the automotive world, the Roger Dubuis/Lamborghini Squadra
Corse partnership roars to life in 2018 with the 45mm Excalibur Aventador
S Blue and the Excalibur Aventador S Pink Gold. Driven by the passion
for cutting-edge technological complexity shared by Roger Dubuis and
Lamborghini Squadra Corse, both these ultra high-performance models
live up to the partnerships “Powered by Raging Mechanics” signature.
Both are propelled by the specially developed and impressive Duotor
(double balance wheels) concept in a totally revamped 312-part RD103SQ
movement. This calibre is notably distinguished by engine strut bars and,
the double balance wheel is inclined at a similar angle, supported and
highlighted by holders shaped like triangular wheel suspension assemblies.
This exclusive Roger Dubuis movement embodies an ongoing evolution
of the Maison’s impressive expertise, entirely reinterpreted to suit this
proud automobile alliance. The highly exclusive Excalibur Aventador S
Blue is crafted from the same C-SMC carbon as that used on the actual
Lamborghini cars. As the ultimate indication of its royal bloodline, it offers
a true-blue experience with a black and Neptune blue bi-material strap,
blue rubber over-moulding on the case and crown, and blue markings on
the fluted carbon bezel. The Excalibur Aventador S Pink Gold features the
same multi-layered carbon skeleton case as its 88-piece limited edition
forebear, while replacing the latter’s Lamborghini "Giallo Orion" accents
with the richly glowing warmth of pink gold, teamed with a supremely

Diver Deep Dive
Very robust, very functional, very technical, very sporty: introducing the remarkable new hero piece of the
iconic Ulysse Nardin DIVER Collection — a resolutely masculine, highly reliable professional diving instrument
and an exceptionally bold sports watch, loaded with unprecedented technical specs, including a helium
escape valve and water resistance to 1,000 metres. Like its immediate predecessor, the Diver Deep Dive is
powered by the in-house calibre UN-320, which has a patented silicium lever and escape wheel configuration.
The balance spring is also in silicium, a material Ulysse Nardin first introduced to Haute Horlogerie. Along
with 1 km water resistance - the world record diving depth is 701 meters - new technical standouts on this
limited edition (300 pieces) masterwork include a removable titanium guard on the crown at 2 o’clock and a
helium release valve at 9 o’clock, for deep dives of prolonged periods of time or under saturation. The rubber
strap is a first: it has an expandable element that adjusts to changes in wrist size during dives, caused by the
compression of your neoprene diving suit. The robust, angular-shaped case is in titanium, with cut-edged
horns. The large bezel has 12-notched teeth for easy manipulation, even with diving gloves.ULYSSE NARDIN

changers: a super-light
silicium balance wheel with
nickel mass elements and
stabilizing micro-blades and
a new case design made even
thinner by a box-domed crystal. Time is still indicated in
the “Freak” manner that sets the collection apart: by the
baguette movement itself, a “flying carrousel” rotating
around its own axis. Yet the design components are
completely different. The new 3D carved upper bridge is
inspired by a boat’s hull. The new box-domed sapphire
allows for a thinner middle and bezel. Finally, the entire
case itself is new - horns, bezel, the rubber on the side -
for a look that is much more open and generous.
