great supporter. The entire journey from

the 1st leg which was held on April 23

until the Grand Final has been an exciting

and memorable experience for us. We

had started off with only 44 golfers in

the 1st leg and eventually grew to a full

field in the 4th leg, 5th leg and the Grand

Final. This is definitely a testimony of the

success of the Damai Laut Golf Series

2017 and we could not have achieved this

without great support from all sponsors

and participants,” said the resort’s General

Manager Patrick Tee.

He further thanked the key personnel

who had made the Damai Laut Golf Series

2017 a success and the resident referees,

Ramesh Selvadurai and Michael Tan were

also given recognition. Sponsors and

event partners included Oman Air, Nippon

Golf Tech, Heineken, Srixon, Crest Link,

Atria and Sharp.

Ahmad Marzuki Kamaruzaman emerged

as the gross champion with a superb score

of 73, winning himself a return economy

air ticket to Muscat by Oman Air, a Sharp

television set 50” model, a 3D/2N stay in a

Junior Suite at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort

Damai Laut and a trophy. The nett title went

to Azmin Serone (21), who carded a nett

score of 63 to win a 40” Sharp television

set, a 3D/2N stay in a Deluxe Sea View at

Swiss-Garden Beach Resort Damai Laut

and a trophy.

Ardent supporters who had participated

in 3 legs, 4 legs, 5 legs and 6 legs of the

Damai Laut Golf Series 2017 were given

Srixon caps, BMW umbrellas and hotel

stay vouchers. Winners of each leg were

also presented with Club House passes

for the EurAsia Cup held at Glenmarie Golf

& Country Club.
