Global warning
Children at the youth climate strike were among tens of
thousands in New York City calling for action on climate
change ahead of a United Nations summit on the issue. Teen
activist Greta Thunberg was alone when she launched a school
strike in Sweden last year; organizers said some 4 million
people around the globe joined her on Sept. 20. Still, leaders
did not deliver the bold policies activists wanted. Speaking at
the U.N., Thunberg condemned their inaction: “How dare you?”
