fixed term of two years from September 2018.

Teaching will be based at Norwich School and in Partner
Schools involved in the SWIRE Mandarin Scheme and
involves classroom activity across the full age range
4-18. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic
contributors to the wider life of Norwich School, which is

We have an exciting opportunity within a thriving, well-resourced Modern Foreign
Languages Department at one of the country’s leading girls’ schools for a teacher of
French to play a key role within an expanding department.
Working with a passionate and talented team, you will teach and promote the
subject throughout the senior school up to A level and Oxbridge level, teaching and
inspiring our girls to become enthusiastic and skilled language learners.
An ability to teach another language would be desirable. The position would be
suitable for an NQT but more experienced candidates may be considered for the role

Teacher of German (Part Time)
Ampleforth is one of Europe’s foremost Catholic boarding schools, committed to
all round excellence and academic ambition. This post will provide the successful
applicant with the opportunity to join us in working with students to cultivate
learning as an attitude, a value for life.
We require, for September 2018, a well-qualified, skilled and enthusiastic languages
teacher to teach German at all levels up to A level. The ability to teach another
European language to GCSE (ideally Spanish) will be an advantage but is not essential.
The role will involve working part time at around 60% of a timetable.
Our Modern Languages department offers French, German and Spanish plus options
to take further study in Mandarin and Italian. An exciting range of trips overseas is
being added to and expanded upon.
We are looking for a teacher who is committed to giving students the confidence to
search for answers, to be inquisitive and who can turn interests into enthusiasms. A
willingness to play a full part in the boarding and extra-curricular life of the school is
essential.

Modern Foreign Language Assistants

The Modern Foreign Language Assistants assist in the classroom under the supervision
of the class teacher, support and supervise students in their study time and carry out
administrative tasks.

The successful candidates will be educated to degree level and will be fluent in French,
Spanish or German.
