As part of our continued focus to further develop
impact on student progress we are seeking to
appoint a passionate English Teacher to join our
dedicated English team.
In 2017 80% of students in GCSE English made
expected progress and 42% made better than
expected progress. Progress in English and
Literature surpassed this with an average of 97%
achieving expected progress and 77% achieving
better than expected progress, providing our
students with access to the best colleges.

In September 2012 Isaac Newton Academy opened
with its inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students. The
secondary school will grow, year on year, to become
an 11-18 academy of 1250 students. The sixth form
opened in September 2017. In 2014 the primary
phase opened, welcoming 90 reception-aged pupils.
This too will expand each year until full in 2020.
