Trinity Catholic High School seeks to appoint a talented and
dynamic Teacher of Media with responsibility for Key Stage 4 to
work within our hugely successful Media Department. We have
an excellent Catholic Ethos with a strong leadership team. The
Teacher of Media position is available from September 2018.
Students follow the Eduqas syllabus at GCSE and OCR at A
Level for Media Studies. This department achieves outstanding
results at GCSE and A level and all classes are taught in mixed
ability groups from Year 10 onwards.
The Media Studies Department has been included in the top
ten Sixth Form Media and Film Departments in the country by
Oxford Analytics.
The department offers Media Studies at both GCSE and A level
while Film Studies is currently offered only at A level.
We are very well resourced with a dedicated suite of 36 Apple
Imac computers equipped with powerful video editing software,
sound design software and post-production compositing and
visual effects packages.
We have enough video cameras, tripods and sound recording
equipment for all students.
The department has two full time teachers, who are both
subject specialists, and a full time technician.
This post would be suitable for an experienced or newly
qualified teacher who feels they can make a significant and
positive contribution to the Media department and the school
as a whole.
