Peripatetic Accordion Teacher
From September 2018

Leighton Park School is looking to appoint an
experienced Accordion teacher who will be
responsible for teaching Accordion to a range of
students. You will be responsible for monitoring
and reporting on the progress of students to
the Director of Music. You will also work in
collaboration with the Director of Music to

  • Has a computer suite running Cubase and Sibelius software.

  • An A-level teaching room and two practice rooms where
    instrumental lessons take place

  • We have eight visiting instrumental teachers supplied
    by Redbridge Music Service, who provide individual
    instrumental and singing lessons to approximately 80
    students.

    experienced teacher who will possess the vision, drive and
    energy to ensure students across all key stages enjoy and
    achieve exceptionally well in this core subject. It is expected
    that the successful candidate will make a significant and

Second in Charge of Music

Required for September 2018

In September 2012 Isaac Newton Academy opened
with its inaugural cohort of 180 year 7 students. The
secondary school will grow, year on year, to become
an 11-18 academy of 1250 students. The sixth form
opened in September 2017. In 2014 the primary
phase opened, welcoming 90 reception-aged pupils.
This too will expand each year until full in 2020.
In June 2014 the school was judged to be
outstanding in all categories by OFSTED.
We are looking for an inspiring and inclusive music
teacher. We devote 2 hours of curriculum time each
week to music at KS3. Every student at KS3 learns
an instrument which they can keep for 3 years. On
average 24% of students elect to take music GCSE
(four times the national average) achieving fantastic
results (100% pass, 53% A-A*).
