retreading, the wholesale trade, but also additional
services in the tyre workshop, whether these
involve brakes, light, engine settings or shock
absorbers.

The event is rounded off by networking events,
congresses and a diversified event programme.
Themes like digitalisation and recycling provide
important impulses here. The Tire cologne is
organised by Koelnmesse and the industry sponsor,
the Bundesverband Reifenhandel & Vulkaniseur-
handwerk e.V. (BRV/German Tire Retailers and
Vulcanisation Trade Association).

For the first The Tire cologne, around 530
providers and another 70 brands from 41 countries
will be participating, around 68 per cent of them
from abroad. Thus, for example, the twenty
companies of the current “tyre world ranking list,”
among others, will be in cologne from the start.
The strongest international contingents are from
Italy, the netherlands, the United Kingdom and
Turkey, as well as from china, India, Taiwan and
the USA.

The complete participation of the global players
underlines the fact that The Tire cologne has
the right conceptual strategies for offering the
international tyre industry a platform for future-
oriented market developments. “The Tire cologne
makes current market trends experienceable – this
is precisely the conceptual and forward-looking
orientation we are looking for as an industry
sponsor,” according to Yorick M. Lowin, Managing
Director of the BRV.

The tyre manufacturers, the tyre wholesalers and
the rim manufacturers, of course also including
those named at the top of the “tyre world ranking
list,” with Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear,

The addressing and engagement of new visitor
target groups is also of particular importance to
the “greats” of the industry. In keeping with these
expectations, there is a special meeting point
for the managers of vehicle fleets and car pools
in the tire and wheels segment in hall 7 – the
Tire Fleet Lounge. Focusing on the needs of this
visitor target group, possibilities for optimising the
vehicle fleet will be presented. here visitors will
experience interesting lectures, talk panels and
exciting networking opportunities. There will be
several theme days on which renowned experts
will provide valuable insights and be available
for discussions revolving around the themes of
passenger vehicles, trucks and buses.

The themes of automotive services and workshop
needs will be concentrated in hall 8. here, for
example, the hunter company, the global market
leader for axle alignment, or the internationally
known tool manufacturer Snap on are found.
Well-known providers in hall 8 also include the

companies ASe corghi Spa, Ravalgioli, Schrader,
as well as Rema Tip Top or the GDhS Group. The
current theme of digitalisation is also reflected in
hall 8. An important aspect that affects all industry
and is ensuring profound change in all areas of
life. At the same time, the digital transformation
opens up big chances for more quality of life,
new business models and more efficient business
economy. The “Digital Reality” theme area shows
what digitalisation already means today for all
participants of the tire industry, and how it can be
used for your business.

Retreading, recycling
one important theme complex of the event is
the segment of tyre remoulding, tyre recycling
and disposal. Against the background of global
resources and climate discussions, The Tire
cologne attaches a high degree of importance
to this theme. Providers like Kraiburg, TRM, the
Tech Group and specialists like Vipal, carl Zeiss
or BJ Rocket present their performance capacity
in matters of “tire remoulding.” In terms of
“recycling“, the companies Salvadori, Doberman,
the machinery provider eldan or the ZARe
pavilion present the possibilities for recycling
and processing already available today. The steps
ranging from the collection of old tires to recycling
of the individual components in new products will
be shown for the first time at the trade fair. The
“Recycling Forum” at the centre of the hall offers
a complete overview of the decisive aspects in
the field of tire recycling. In addition to current
trends, new technologies and trade themes, a large
number of products that have been manufactured
from recycled tires can be seen in the special area.

Modern trade fairs are events that convince
through the quality and depth of the offering,
but which also make values, trends and themes
experienceable. The event and congress
programme of The Tire cologne, including star-
studded conferences, theme areas and special
events will also provide additional information and
emotional inspiration. Spectacular drift shows of
the Falken and Keskin/Syron Tyres companies,
as well as a motorcycle show demonstrate
what modern tires are capable of, and which
“unbelievable manoeuvres“ people and technology
are capable of. Also included in the programme are
a show car exhibition on the boulevard, an outdoor
truck show and a big TIRe party for exhibitors and
their customers.
