Shark Diving at Its Finest

UW360 interviewed Aggressor Fleet’s CEO, Wayne B. Brown, to find out
more about the fleet’s shark diving scene

Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I grew up in a very small town in North Florida. Unsure of what
I wanted when I graduated high school in 1979, I joined the US
Air Force and trained as a medic working in the emergency
room at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. After four
years, I was sent back to school to train as a flight medic and
was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany for the next four years.
In 1987, I decided that I would get out of the military and move
back close to my hometown and find work there. I was hired by
Taco Bell to manage one store at first, and then the better part
of a large city. After two years, I was a bit frustrated with the
corporate red tape and decided to go into business with a Taco
Bell franchisee where we could have more control over how
we managed our stores and employees. He was unfortunately
killed a few years later. I continued to grow the business and
sold my 60 stores in 2006 to a private equity group.
