about the 2018
asian gaMes MasCots
To reflect the diversity of its host country, the 2018 Asiad
will have three mascots, Bhin Bhin (a Cendrawasih bird,
representing eastern Indonesia), Kaka (a one-horned rhino,
representing western Indonesia), and Atung (a Bawean deer,
representing central Indonesia). Bhin Bhin replaces
Derawan, the previous Cendrawasih mascot, which faced
fierce criticism for an unflattering resemblance to a chicken.
