uscat Insurance Company
(MIC), one of the largest
insurance firms in the
Sultanate, unveiled its
new global brand identity recently,
under the auspices of HE Yahya Al
Jabri, chairman of the Special Economic
Zone Authority Duqm (SEZAD) and of
Capital Market Authority (CMA) at The
Kempinski Hotel Muscat, Al Mouj. The
event was attended by MIC chairman,
Sheikh Aimen Ahmed Al Hosni, board
of directors, management team, staff
members and the media.

The new brand identity, which marks
the most significant change to the
company’s brand since its inception

in year 1995, includes an updated
visual identity, logo and tagline.

“It was time for a change”, said Philip
K Philip, CEO at Muscat Insurance
Company. “Now, over two decades later,
being friendly and approachable isn’t
enough. What consumers are looking
for, from a company like ours, is a
partnership to positively impact our
customers’ lives and the communities
we serve. By doing so, our goal is to
become one of the region’s leading
insurance companies.”

The new branding push is the first
comprehensive rebranding for MIC
since 1995. “Our new brand reflects

our company’s transformation and
differentiates us in the marketplace,
ultimately driving greater value for
our customers and shareholders,” said
Philip. “MIC’s long-term commitment
to helping customers during their most
difficult moments has led to a new
underpinned phrase, ‘Like A Brother’.”

There were two other major
announcements at the event: launch
of the new comprehensive insurance
management system and the refreshed
website of the company.
