opens new office


Destination Sustainability, Oman’s
first local SME consultancy firm
specialising in corporate
sustainability and social
responsibility, officially inaugurated
its new offices in Airport Heights.
The new office was inaugurated by
Malak Al Shibani, director general
of the National Business Centre.
Established to connect sustainable
practices, common values and
ethics within the Omani culture,
Destination Sustainability aims to
showcase the importance of
sustainability and the
implementation of corporate social
responsibility (CSR) into corporate, governmental and civil societies. The
company brings together international best practices, global research and
innovation with local understanding and regional cultural awareness. Today,
Destination Sustainability has successfully developed, managed, and
evaluated CSR programmes and initiatives for leading companies across the
Sultanate including Voltamp Oman, GlassPoint, Oman India Fertilising
Company, Salalah Methanol Company, Youth Vision, Petroleum
Development Oman, BP Oman and others.


Bank Sohar pledges support to
Oman Autism Society

Bank Sohar extended its Sohar Al Atta CSR programme to the Oman Autism
Society (OAS), as a new addition to the list of community organisations
supported by the bank. With a renewed focus on educating, training, and
empowering, the support will cover annual fees allowing the society to
provide its services to more children. Ahmed Al Musalmi, CEO of Bank
Sohar, commented, “Recognising the role and value of every single
individual in the society, regardless of their level of ability has always
been the core of Sohar Al Atta philosophy. Our engagement with OAS is
yet another testimony to this drive and a valuable opportunity to extend our
reach in our efforts to

MGM announces winner of
‘Shop and Win’ campaign
Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) announced the winner of its promotional ‘Shop
and Win’ campaign. Officially bringing the campaign to a close recently, the
event saw the attendance of a representative from the Ministry of Commerce
and Industry, who conducted the draw to announce Khalifa Mubarak as
the winner of the grand prize. On the occasion, an MGM spokesperson
congratulated Khalifa on winning the Infiniti QX80. MGM also expressed
their appreciation for all participating stores who contributed significantly to
its success. They also informed that they will continue to give away stunning
surprises and great prizes in upcoming offers and campaigns. MGM has
also recently announced the launch of its new promotional campaign ‘Shop
and Win’ that will run until November 20, and is exclusively for ‘Mazaya
Grand’ cardholders. The campaign will include several entertainment
activities alongside great offers and discounts at the participating stores.

Bank Nizwa wins ‘Best Islamic products


and services in Oman’ award

in Oman during the Banks Awards and Commendations of Excellence
ceremony, organised by the World Union of Arab Bankers recently in
Lebanon. This accolade reflects the bank’s strategy of continuously
