In order to focus on application-oriented learning,
students are encouraged to take up real-time industrial
problems as projects and provide solutions. Industrial
visits are organised as part of the curriculum to provide an
insight into the internal working of companies. Career-
based certification courses in Business English, Vedic
Mathematics, Journalism and Scientific Sense of Silicon
Systems are offered to the students. Besides, there are
collaborations with industry giants such as Oracle, IBM,
Microsoft, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Virtusa, FLSmidth
and Emerson Automation. What the government should do
Encourage the participation of higher education institu-
tions in the Skill India Mission. Provide more resources
and better incentives to universities to enable them to
develop educational infrastructure to meet the challenges
of transitioning from a traditional university to a modern
one that focuses more on skill training. Make internships
and on-the-job training mandatory in curriculums of
