Q. Any new Indian band
or musician you’re
particularly excited
about?
Have you checked out this
guy called Ritviz? If you
haven’t, please go listen to
his music now. You’re
going to love this.
Q. What’s the raddest thing they got you to do?
The one I’ll remember forever was rappelling for
the first time. I go over the edge of the cliff. I’m also
rappelling down a waterfall, so my feet are slipping,
my adrenaline is through the roof, and the sound guy
looks over and says, “Sir, mic theek nahin hai.”
Q. From fronting rockband
Pentagram to judging Sa Re Ga Ma
Pa and Indian Idol Junior. Like AC/DC
says: it’s a long way to the top. Have
we reached peak Reality TV?
This is just the beginning.
Q. Do you like doing it?
As long as I get to be me and get
to say what I want to say, I’m
down. There are always people
who try to get you to say what
they want, but you just got to
sort of wind your way around
that and say, “No, thank you.”
Q. What are you
working on currently?
We are writing a new
album, Pentagram. I’m also
working on several films,
and there’s a massive
project that Shekhar and I
are going to start in August
that I can’t discuss. It’s not
film related and it’s
not related to the Indian
film business.
