kitchenette, a tiny walk-in wardrobe, and a living room.
The most redeeming feature of the`25,000-per-night
suite, however, is that the walls and the ceiling are made
from glass. Which meant that you could see the lights
from your bed. As an extension to these residences, the
Aurora Sky Restaurant nearby was built with glass walls
and ceiling too, to offer a surreal dining experience under
the stars. That night, all conversation with the waitstaff
seemed to wheel around the Northern Lights.
“How are you today?”
“I’m great, thanks. I have a Northern Lights excursion
planned for later.”
“What would you like tonight?”
“I don’t want anything heavy, just something that can
be done up quick, so I can be on time for the pick-up.” Not
the ideal customer for a jaded Fin who has had no less than
24 years of experience with the lights without having to
chase them.
At half past seven, darkness fell, and with it a very
distracting urge. I looked up through the roof and beyond
