Singapore Airlines has
introduced direct flights from
Singapore to Los Angeles,
San Francisco, and New York,
with more time to enjoy a host of
tempting transit benefits.
S
ingapore Airlines (SIA) is
all set to make flying to the
US hassle-free with the
introduction of direct services and
increased frequency. Passengers
can now avail direct flights from
Singapore to Los Angeles, San
Francisco, and New York, cutting
down on travel time and enjoying
more connecting options.
Among the additions, the one
to New York takes the cake. SIA will
create history this year by launching
the world’s longest commercial flight
from Singapore to New York with
the introduction of the new Ultra
Long Range (ULR) variant of Airbus
A350-900 in its fleet. The aircraft is
configured in a two-class layout,
with 67 Business Class seats and 94
Premium Economy Class seats.
With over 140 weekly flights
currently plying between India and
Singapore, SIA’s improved, non-stop
services to the US cities will benefit
Indians flying to America. Combine
that with special vouchers for all
transit passengers and a visa-free
transit facility to explore Singapore
for 96 hours, and the idea of a
layover doesn’t seem tedious.
The airline has also collaborated
with wellness brand Canyon Ranch
to ensure nutritious menus and
