The weight of the arm of the top lever becomes the force

arm of the bottom lever through the connecting link.

The weight arms (gear spokes) rotate forward

around the fulcrum (axle), moving the load

(the cutting mechanism of the mower).

As the mower is pulled to the

front, the friction between the

wheel rim and ground cause

the levers (spokes) to rotate.
