Your brand name, Lim’s Holland Village,

includes your location. Why?

Holland Village played, and still is playing, a big

part in our lives. My dad has always loved this area

and it was the first location he put his business roots

down in after moving out of Changi in the 1970s.

Consequently, my parents moved to the Holland

area and this is where my sisters and I grew up. I

fondly remember being brought to work as a child

by my dad, then progressing to being a cashier for my

holiday job. With so many memories here, it’s fitting

to make Holland Village an integral part of the brand.

Will we see a second

Lim’s Holland Village store?

We currently only have the one store in

Holland Village. We don’t know what the

future has in store for us, but for now we are

placing our focus on fine-tuning our selection

and operations. If there is one thing we have

learnt in the last year, laying good groundwork

is fundamental. It allows us to make swift

business decisions to adapt to the ever-

changing wants and needs of our customers.

So what can we expect for the

rest of 2018?

I don’t know where to begin! Our India,

Myanmar and Cambodia trips have been

extremely fruitful and we are expecting an

influx of colours, textures and culture in the

coming months. Be it homeware and décor for

your own home, or a welcome or farewell gift

for a friend, you can expect to find something
