A family’s perspective
Parents: Tay Gak Yong and
Michelle Xu
Children: Aik Hsiong (14), Rachel (11)
and Morgan (5)

Our children joined TCP
from 18 months. We chose the
school for its open space, broad ethnic mix of students and
philosophy of teaching through play. Our kids love their friends
and teachers, and enjoy the weekly show-and-tell sessions, water
play, and the sandpits and trikes in the playground. They also love
science lessons and experiments conducted by the teachers. One
experiment that stood out was ice-cream making; I remember my
children (at age five) telling me detailed instructions of how they
made the ice cream, all from memory!

A WORD FROM
THE SCHOOL
The Children’s Place offers
an experiential, interactive
and child-centred curriculum.
Our integrated bilingual
programme makes Mandarin
learning effective and fun,
while a strong visual arts
programme, and activities like
cooking, science, drama and
dance enrich the curriculum
further.
