LEARN & PLAY

A family’s perspective
Parents: Fay and Stuart Ashworth
Children: Harr y (7) and Phoebe (4)

Harry joined Dulwich in
August 2015 and loves it! The school
has a welcoming atmosphere where
pupils have fun, make great friends
and are treated as individuals – even the management team
know the children by name. The dual-language philosophy is
outstanding. Parents are also encouraged to get involved in many
areas and, as such, a friendly, close-knit community exists. This
is an international school in every sense, retaining strong links
to Dulwich College in London, but also as part of a network of
Dulwich schools across Asia, which allows for insights into the
challenges of educating in a transient environment.
The moment we stepped through the door, we were sold!
The school has a thoroughly professional environment, caring
atmosphere coupled with outstanding facilities and drive to help
children reach their potential. Harry has grown immensely at
Dulwich and Phoebe can’t wait to join him this summer.

A WORD FROM THE SCHOOL
Dulwich is academically
selective and offers an enhanced
curriculum that is diverse and
intellectually rigorous. From the
Early Years, pupils are immersed
in daily Mandarin programmes,
orchestral music programmes and
subjects that develop their problem-
solving skills. From the age of
five, students follow the English
National Curriculum enhanced with
elements of the Common Entrance
syllabus, taught entirely by specialist
teachers. The College offers an
enriched three-year IGCSE syllabus
that best prepares students for the
challenges of the more advanced IB
Diploma in Upper School.

WHAT’S NEW?
The College’s IB Centre is
opening in August 2018 in line
with the first cohort of Year 12
students. University counselling
suites, personal study areas, a
common room and collaborative
workspaces are just some features
of the space.
