Tykes (1.5 to 3.5 years).

A family’s perspective

Child: Joseph (7)

Joseph was diagnosed with moderate Attention Deficit

Hyperactivity Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder in 2017.

He had been having difficulty adjusting to his elementary school,

experiencing anxiety and throwing tantrums. A friend suggested IIS

and we met with the Dean of Students and Principal. We were initially

worried they would not take him because of his behavioural history.

However, they assured us they were well-equipped to manage it.

He started with IIS in August 2017 and we haven’t looked back

since! We’ve seen so many positive changes. The school gave him

tools to help with self-regulation; his anxiety levels have decreased

significantly, which has aided his academic learning. The school stays

in close contact with us and is prompt to communicate any incidents.

We get weekly updates on Joseph’s behaviour and academic progress.

The loving and non-judgemental environment has helped our son

develop better self-esteem and socialisation skills.
