ISS is Singapore’s oldest three-programme
International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, with
a multicultural environment made up of students
from almost 50 countries with no dominant
nationality group. ISS specialises solely in the IB
curriculum, incorporating IB Primary Years, IB
Middle Years and the IB Diploma Programme.WHAT’S NEW?
To prepare High School students for their future
career choices, the school held a job fair and
organised an internship programme. Practitioners
from various industries spoke personally with
the students about the skills required for those
industries, the best course of study to select, and
other practical advice. Students then had the
opportunity to intern at various local companies to
understand and experience first-hand their career

(Kindergarten to Grade 12)The strength of ISS is its community. We
are a small- to medium-sized school, which
translates to a very friendly, student-centred
atmosphere. Our class sizes are small, hence
it’s easy and quick to build strong rapport
with the students we teach. It also means that
student achievements and challenges are easily
communicated amongst a relatively medium-
sized staff.
Our other strength is our IB programme.
We’ve been an IB accredited school for a very
long time (Diploma Programme authorised as
early as 2000, PYP in 2002, and MYP in 2003).
Our staff are highly trained, experienced and
knowledgeable. We also have a great success
rate for students who are still developing their
English language abilities; they are supported
well and achieve great success in our IB Diploma
