government awarded OWIS the

opportunity to convert an existing

3.2-hectare school premises in

Jurong West into a new moderate-

fee international school with

a diverse student and teacher

population. The modern campus

rounded education embracing the

latest technology, with grounds

that support outdoor learning

opportunities.

Name: Erin Smith

Role: Grade 5/PYP Coordinator

I’ve been at OWIS since January 2018 and I focus on

integrating technology and concept-based learning. The school

has an inclusive and inquiry-driven learning environment,

catering to different students’ needs through a diverse

curriculum promoting creativity, collaboration and critical

thinking. Teachers work together to build strong relationships

with students and parents. I enjoy helping students realise

their potential by challenging them to think and guiding them

toward deeper conceptual understandings.
