HAIR HEROES
Tips from the panel on how
to keep your hair healthy
in Singapore’s humidity,
with some personal
recommendations of
stylists and colourists.

Frederic from Team Salon in VivoCity is my go-to
man. He pays such attention to detail and the result
is always a flawless colour and cut. Even my husband
goes there now. – Alexandra
Try a weekly mask with organic coconut or argan
oil. If that isn’t effective, try a keratin treatment or a
Brazilian blow-out at a recommended salon. – Ankita
I’m sad to admit that beating the frizz is a battle I
have fought and lost! Argan oil and a “mum bun” are
my go-to hair treatments. – Beth

I have my hair done by Delois at Estique Salon at
Pacific Plaza. She has always known how to handle
my hair. She’s very skilled when it comes to keeping
the cool/ashy tone that I love, and she always does a
professional-grade Olaplex treatment in my hair, which
breathes new life into it. – Dana
I have a great colourist called Catherine who works
at Hera Hair and Beauty in Sentosa; she’s great at
doing blonde hair. Keeping your hair frizz-free is a
challenge in Singapore with the humidity. I just tend
to use a daily moisturising serum and ensure I have
regular treatments – Linda
I’ve finally found a good hairdresser called Hair Talk
in Change Alley. Other than that, I’ll put a treatment
in a couple of times a week, or just some coconut or
almond oil. I got a Dyson hairdryer for Christmas and
it’s made such a difference to me blow-drying my hair.
It seems to be much quicker than a regular hairdryer. I
also like my Aussie Miracle hair serum. – Lisa
I love Jessie from The Parlour. She was recommended
to me by a friend a couple of years ago and I’ve been
going ever since. Everyone’s hair is different. I’m out in
the sun every day, so conditioning it is really important.
A good leave-in conditioner keeps the frizz away. – Mel
