LET’S EAT

Looking for recommendations
on where to dine? From hearty
Italian dishes to flavourful
North Indian fare, here’s a
list of seven of our favourite
restaurants across a wide
range of cuisines that are
guaranteed to get your taste
buds on the go, no suitcase
required.

Baba Chews Bar and Eatery
Get a taste of unique Peranakan culture at Baba
Chews Bar and Eatery, a chic and elegant restaurant
bar offering traditional cuisine from the Straits
of Malacca, with a twist. Tucked away in Katong
Square, this eatery boasts a charming colonial and
Peranakan setting – think gorgeous tiles set against
wood furnishings and white walls.
The All-You-Can-Eat Weekend Brunch ($38) is
a value-for-money option that allows you to add
on free-flow juice, coffee and tea (top up $12) or
prosecco (top up $48). You get to enjoy as many
hot brunch mains as you want, cooked à la minute
to ensure top-notch quality. Highlights include the
Nyonya-style Lion Head – stewed meatballs stuffed
with quail egg and served with Baba Chews’ rempah
(traditional Malay sauce) – plus Nyonya laksa and beef
rendang bun, an update on the classic meat dish. For
guests who like to be more hands-on, there is also
a Do-It-Yourself counter where you can try creating
local snacks like rojak.
