Anki, determined to inject some
personality into home robots that up until now have remained indifferent, has
launched its new Vector home robot. Five years in the making, Vector is fully
autonomous, requires minimal maintenance, and, due to continual over-the-air
updates, becomes more intelligent over time. Anki CEO and Co-Founder Boris
Sofman celebrates Vector’s arrival, noting that “for the first time, people will be
living with a robot that is able to bring both a warm and joyful experience, and
