HAMILTON: THE WORLD’S
MOST EXPENSIVE CITY
Despite the lavish lifestyles of urbanites in Asia
and the Middle East, Bermuda’s capital of Hamilton
has been revealed as the priciest city in the world,
where the estimated cost of living is a whopping
US$4,769 per month. A tax haven and home to just
over 3,500 people, the relaxed beachside location
is closely followed by San Francisco, New York,
Geneva and Hong Kong, according to global
database Numbeo. While the cost of high-speed
internet access is only US$28 in Hong Kong, expect
to pay an eye-watering US$140 in Hamilton.

Getting around in a big city is expensive no
matter what mode of transportation you use,
but could private rides actually be cheaper
than owning a vehicle?
According to a 2018 internet trends report by
venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, using an
Uber for the work commute could be cheaper
