With the success of its first trip, Unstoppables headed
for its next location in 2016: The Amazon. And this year, it
will be in Kenya, bringing with it a variety of added features.
Among the list of attendees at this year’s event are
influential women like: Karen Beattie, Founder and Managing
Director of The Growth Faculty; Ana Julia Carusi, Managing
Director of Seven Migration and Managing Director of
Information Planet Perth; Katherine Droga, Founder and
Managing Director of Droga & Co. which specialises in
tourism, marketing and events (she was also previously
part of Tourism Australia’s Executive Team); Judy Reynolds,
Founder and CEO of Opening Gates; and Jackie Fristacky,
who was re-elected for a fifth term as a Councillor for the
City of Yarra, Melbourne.
Unstoppables is open to a global audience, allowing
anyone from around the world to enter. There will also be
capital partners available to connect entrepreneurs with
funding. In addition, attendees will get to hear from fellow
Unstoppable, Dean Landy, founder of not-for-profit
organisation One Heart Foundation, which empowers
orphaned children in Kenya.
With a chance to meet like-minded entrepreneurs and
collaborate on new and exciting business ideas – all while
experiencing the beautiful scenery Kenya has to offer –
Unstoppables is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

T
his year’s Unstoppables event is heading to the
East African country of Kenya, from 24 September
to 2 October, giving entrepreneurs, business leaders,
philanthropists and investors a chance to collaborate,
network and potentially establish businesses that will address
the world’s ever-changing needs.
Created by JDL Strategies founder and leading
businessman Julio De Laffitte, Unstoppables is a platform
for members to solve problems, question the status quo,
hold discussions and, above all, create change. But unlike
your regular offsite business conference, Unstoppables
takes attendees to some of the most breathtaking locations
on the planet.
Its core is simple: to make you unstoppable. “If you spend
time being challenged by and challenging people from all
sorts of industries, your growth is exponential,” says Julio.
“Your ability to engage, deliver and see business opportunities
that you have never seen before back at home grows.”
In 2015, Unstoppables held its inaugural event in the
icy oasis of Antarctica, and more than 100 passionate
entrepreneurs travelled to the continent to share their ideas.
The 10-day event proved a mammoth success, with 40 per
cent of attendees investing in someone else’s business.
Following the trip, Julio told The CEO Magazine,
“Unstoppables for me was the reality that a lot of people
wanted to play in the innovation space but they had nowhere
to go, it was way too disjointed. You can go into a start-up
convention, or you can go into a crowdfunding convention,
but there is no one place where it all happens.”

FIRST IT WAS ANTARCTICA. THEN IT WAS THE AMAZON.
NOW IT’S AFRICA. UNSTOPPABLES WILL ONCE AGAIN GATHER THE

FUTURE-BUSINESS FOCUSED JOURNEY.
