singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin

Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and
singers, Hadestown intertwines two mythic love stories as
it weaves together American songwriting traditions from
indie folk to pop to blues and beyond. Its groundbreaking
journey to the stage began a decade ago, with Mitchell’s
Grammy®-nominated studio album, featuring guest
vocals by Ani DiFranco, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and more.
Following a sold-out off -Broadway run at New York Theatre
Workshop, the stage adaptation went on to have acclaimed
productions at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre, London’s
National Theatre and, fi nally, on Broadway. Lauded as
