SARAH HATTON’S design for a
hip-length, open-fronted cardigan
features a colourwork pattern with a
woven effect. The stranded colourwork
u s e s p u rl s t itc h e s on t h e r i g ht si d e of
the fabric, to give a subtle textured feel.
The body is worked in one piece to the
armholes, and then divided for the
fronts and back; the sleeves are worked
flat. Our sample is knitted in Hudson
Worsted from The Yarn Collective,
which has a smooth, matt feel. It is
available in 11 rich, warm shades.
