available. Note that the region also
offers lots of particularly high-quality
building expertise and wonderful
craftspeople able to produce beautiful
results on any restored or bespoke
property. Building standards are very
high down here.
As for which route – buying a
home that needs building work or
one which doesn’t – will ultimately
prove to be the most economical, the
jury is still out. Some agents advise
that in the current market it’s best to
buy a ready-to-move-into property
or one which only needs a tiny bit of
renovation rather than to invest in
a more involved restoration project.
But other agents still recommend
restoring as a great route to get
the home of your dreams, and also
sing the praises of buying land and
building from scratch according to
