Basecamp Explorer opened its
first camp in the Maasai Mara
National Reserve in 1998, with
the aim of helping to
preserve its unique
landscapes, wildli fe and
people. New to its offering
this year is the Walking with
the Maasai tour. Guests

wildlife and trekking across
the savannah of the Naboisho
Conservancy, a private
concession, in the company of

with local San people at the Xudum
Okavango Delta Lodge in Botswana.
On the half-day ambles, the guides
