nder the theme “Shaping the
future of construction”, The
Big 5 2018, which will be held
on 26-29 November, 2018, at the
Dubai World Trade Centre, will
introduce never seen before
technologies and innovative so-
lutions. It will shed light on rising entrepre-
neurs that promise to disrupt the construc-
tion sector, as well as on the women that are
pushing the industr y for ward. On its 39th
edition, the show will once again pave the
way for new partnerships, boost investments
and connect professionals from around the
world, in Dubai.

the-art solutions across all stages of the con-
struction lifecycle.
Portfolio director at dmg events, Josine
Heijmans, anticipates: “Technology is quick-
ly reshaping the world of construction. To-
day, it offers unprecedented opportunities to
work faster, more effi ciently and more sus-
tainably. Industr y players who embrace inno-
vation in a sector that is widely considered a
late technology adopter, can truly go a long
way in building success, and staying on top in
an extremely competitive market.”
A dedicated Live Innovation Zone will
bring together the brightest ideas, minds and
initiatives from around the globe. Visitors at
the show will be able to discover new prod-
ucts and solutions presented at interactive

live demonstrations.
Next to the Live Innovation Zone, selected
start-ups in the construction industr y will
display the technologies and solutions that
will revolutionize tomorrow’s built environ-
ment. The Big 5 Start-up City will gather the
next construction tech disruptors, a selection
of rising stars that will soon make an impact
in the fi eld.
The event will also feature the fi rst Fu-
tureTech Construction Summit on Novem-
ber 26. The conference will be fully dedicated
to exploring future trends and technologies
through case studies, panel discussions and
thought-provoking presentations. Bringing
the industr y for ward also means changing
the popular misconception of relating con-
