Congratulations to Distinguished Professor Margaret Brimble CNZM, FRSNZ on her recent
triumph of a Marsden Medal from the New Zealand Association of Scientists. Awarded for
a lifetime of outstanding service to the profession of science, Professor Brimble is a
pioneer and distinguished scholar in her fi eld. Her success inspires students to push their
limits and achieve the amazing at New Zealand’s world-ranked university.
This prestigious award is the most recent of many accomplishments in Professor Brimble’s
career in chemical sciences, with a list of honours including the Rutherford Medal, Hector
Medal, MacDiarmid Medal and L’Oreal-UNESCO Women in Science Asia-Pacifi c Laureate.
