The Venture – June 2018

(Wang) #1

Message from the Magazine Director

Here at VENTURE, we are all about embracing change. As George Bernard Shaw once said
“Progress is impossible without change”. So with change in the air, the release of the
June issue of VENTURE Magazine seemed the perfect time to announce our revised
publication format.

The look and feel of the magazine has altered very little. Where you will notice a difference is
within the newly defined sections we like to call our core pillars: Leadership, Innovation, Success,
Collaboration, Best-in Class, Finance, and Lifestyle. By implementing the new format we are
better able to combine insightful business expertise, current trends, and industry excellence in a
more fluid way, to the benefit of you,
our readers.
On a daily basis we work with some of the country’s most influential
leaders and businesses that would not be where they are today
without adapting and transforming over time. In this issue we
showcase the successful St Vincent’s Private Hospital in
Sydney, which has just passed its 100-year anniversary.
We also chatted with Karen Jacobsen, also known as
the human Siri, who delighted us with the tale of
her success and how she transformed from being
an aspiring singer to one of the most recognised
digital voices in the world to a motivational
speaker and coach.
“To improve is to change” British Prime
Minister Winston Churchill once said, and
as a British native now living overseas, I too
have had my fair share of change. VENTURE
Magazine strives to employ the changes
to its pages as a way to not only keep
up with the trends, but to get ahead
of them.
We hope you enjoy the new
magazine format.
