The Houston Hounds are playing thehe out?is facing off against Yeti pivot Lori Jupiter. After
Salo and Jupiter get tied up on the initial draw, their
teammates skate toward the scrum, hoping to find
the puck. Ice Dogs winger Maggie Edmonds pokes
the loose puck back towards the two centers, who
are sprawled on the ice. Salo then shovels the puck
with her hand towards another teammate, who
scores. The Yeti complain that this hand pass is
illegal. The Ice Dogs argue that since Edmonds
touched the puck after the face-off, the play was
allowed. You’re the referee. What’s the call?GOING OVERBOARD
Whitney and Buzz are playing cornhole
at the SI KIDS Treehouse under the rules of the
American Cornhole Organization. On a key throw,
Buzz tries to get a running start but ends up
tossing the bag from well beyond the boundary
line of his designated pitching box. The
illegal bag, however, ends up knocking two of
Whitney’s bags into the hole. Whitney says she’s
fine to let the throw count, but Buzz is suddenly
very concerned with the rules—and returning the
board to how it was. What happens?
