Now I know that there’s been a lot of talk,
even for years, about the “King Of Mem-
phis”... this title. What for you—I know that
Gotti says that he’s the “King Of Memphis”—
is the de#nition of that? And can there be
more than one “King”, or is he the King? Or
how does that whole thing go?
I mean, I ain’t that type of person. I’m just
doing me. I’m just doin’ what I love to do. I
ain’t doin’ it all for that. He labeled himself
the “King Of Memphis”—that’s what he is.
But me, I’m in my own lane. You know, that’s
big homie. He keeps me motivated. He’s like
my mentor. I’m doing my own thing. I don’t
want to label myself. I let the fans do all that.

So if you could give an up-and-coming
individual—whether they’re in music, or
whether they’re in school—a person
coming up and trying to “make it” and “be
something”, what one piece of advice would
you give that individual?
I’ll tell them to keep going and don’t let
nobody tell them they can’t do it. No matter
what, don’t let nobody stop you. If that’s
what you feel you can do, keep at it.
MB
Alright. Sounds like a plan. Well I know
you’re busy, I know you’ve been on the road.
You’ve got a show in North Carolina?
MB Yea, I’m in North Carolina right now.
Yea, you’ve been on tour for how long now?
MB Since, January of last year.
You’ve been doing your thing. Well, like I
said, I want to salute you for doing your
thing. You de#nitely motivated me. Anytime
I want to get some extra energy—some
extra motivation—I put on some Money-
Bagg Yo, and I encourage everybody else to
do it too. Let everybody know where they
can follow you and keep up with what’s
going on with MoneyBagg Yo.
All social media, Instagram, Twitter,
@Moneybaggyo , Snapchat, same thing.
MB
Alright MoneyBagg—appreciate you. Keep
doing your thing. I salute your movement,
and I’m gonna keep watchin’ for ya.
MB Ok. Bet.
