We’ve all heard the saying “time is money”. People say it all the time, but few actually
understand the true value of time. There’s nothing worse than the wasting of time. Money—if we lose it—
we can get back. Time...we cannot. So, with that being said, why do so many of us insist on specializing in
wasting time? Well, as the saying goes, “What gets measured, gets done.” Along this rationale, we waste time
for the fundamental reason that we do not consciously measure time as a “thing”. Time—unlike money—is
not tangible. Time is not obvious. You cannot see it or touch it. As a result, time is extremely easy to waste.
And unless you purposely attach a tangible entity to time, it is very likely you will make it a habit to waste
time, and as a result, e"ectively waste away your life. This has nothing to do with being a “bad person” or
“lazy”, but everything to do with the basic nature of time. And so, because of this basic nature of time, we
MUST make time TANGIBLE to ensure that we make the best use of it. As the great Roman Emperor Marcus
Aurelius stated, “The secret of all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious.”
