(lily) #1

This year’s winners will head to
Queensland, Australia from 6 to 9 August for
an all-expense-paid trip to compete against
talents from nine other countries across
the region. Top golfers from the region will
then go on to play in the MercedesTrophy
World Final in Stuttgart, Germany, held from
30 September to 5 October. Celebrating its
30th anniversary, it is the highly sort after
golf event where qualifiers will enjoy a whole
range of programmes and activities, including
an exclusive, up-close look into the world of
Mercedes-Benz.
“Golf is a sport that resonates deeply with
the Mercedes-Benz brand. Precision, passion
and poise are synonymous with the 3-pointed
star, and represents what we put into the
manufacture of each vehicle,” said Philipp
Hagenburger, President and CEO, Mercedes-
Benz Singapore. “We are encouraged by
the strong participation in this tournament
through the years, and by the sheer support
our customers are showing towards our
brand. We wish them the very best on the
course and look forward to rooting for them
in the Asian Final in Queensland come
August,” he added.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupé,
the recently launched Mercedes-Benz
B-Class and the CLS were on display at
the tournament grounds. Accentuating the
brand’s obsession with sports are three of its
locally sold models that boast both a sporty
drive and aesthetics.
Hosting more than 60,000 players from
over 60 countries each year, Mercedes-
Benz continues to commit to making the
MercedesTrophy golf tournament the world’s
most fascinating amateur golf series. The
competition has been a core component of
the brand’s global involvement in golf, and an
annual celebration of a shared dedication to
the perfect drive.
