PXG’s 0211 Irons Are Cast To Make A Statement
PXG For
The Masses
A
vailable off the rack for the very
first time, PXG’s new 0211 irons
also come with some big claims,
which isn’t unusual considering the larger
than life personality of company founder
Bob Parsons.
Packed with three key GEN2
technologies that headlinine playability,
its hollow body design is filled with their
proprietary COR2 polymer, the world’s
thinnest club face and a 360-degree
undercut perimeter channel around the
club face that expands its functional size.
The end result is a club that goes
further, launches higher, feels softer,
sounds great, is more forgiving and has a
large sweet spot the size of Texas. Finally,
PXG say they have created a cast iron
that feels better and sounds sweeter than
most forged irons.
According to Brad Schweigert, PXG’s
chief product officer, “Our goal is to
shift the paradigm of cast versus forged
when it comes to the difference in feel.
What we’ve learned through our testing
and working with these unique modern
day constructions is that the forging
body material has very little impact on
the overall feel and sound. It’s the way
it’s constructed and the filter that is
created by the face material and the
COR material.”
