hen a parcel arrives
from Brengun, I am
always intrigued to
see what is inside, especially
as I rather like small models.
This month’s parcel does not
disappoint, and the highlight
for me is the photo-etch and
resin detail set for the Mark
1 Let L-13 Blanik glider in
1/144 scale. I must admit I
was holding back on building
the kit hoping that Brengun
would produce a detail set!

CONCLUSION
A really nice, varied selection
from Brengun. With these sets
you can add detail from the
smallest to the largest model!
The set for the 1/72 scale
Airfix/Heller Concorde will add
a lot of detail to the engines and
undercarriage, while the set for
the Tu-95 Bear has nice cockpit
detail as well as extra detail for
the undercarriage legs and bays.
It should also be noted
that Brengun have got rid of
the staples they used on their
bags containing the parts. The
bags are now sealed with an
adhesive strip, making them
much easier to get into.

to Jan Sobotka for supplying
these samples for review.

T

he stars of this month’s
selection from Eduard
are the 1/48 scale sets for
the Eduard Fw 190A-5. The basic
plastic in the kit is pretty good by
itself, but if you add these extra
sets to detail the cockpit, the
fuselage, gun bay, and engine,
then you will certainly take
your model to the next level!
The sets of ordnance in the
various scales are little kits in their
own right. I assembled the 1/48
scale AGM-154A/C Block I missile
set and was really impressed
with how it came out. Mounted
for display they even won a
Highly Commended at my local
model show! I will be building
more for stand-alone display.

CONCLUSION
The detail in these sets continues to
astound me, and the engines have to
be seen to be believed. With careful
painting to bring out the detail,
they will look absolutely stunning
and could be displayed as stand-
alone models in their own right.
As usual, these sets are
beautifully cast and detailed
and will really enhance any kit
they are used on. All of these
sets are highly recommended.
My thanks to Eduard for
supplying these samples for
