2018 marks 100 years since the Royal Air Force

were o cially formed on April 1st 1918. Now, to

Expertly struck to a Brilliant Uncirculated  nish, the coin

features the o cial RAF logo above three aircraft specially

selected to demonstrate the developments of the RAF over

the last 100 years. The Sopwith Camel, the Supermarine

Spit re and the very latest Lockheed Lightning II.

Using modern minting techniques, the aircraft have been

engraved in incredible detail and printed in full colour

to create one of the most striking military coins ever issued.
