As well as grouping notes in
Notebooks for easy access,

read text in images and PDFs.

You can only colour-code

can search for notes, but Keep

From saving handwritten notes
toaudiofilesandphotos,
Evernote lets you store them
how you like. Text notes can
also be formatted as to-do
lists and reminders.

In Keep notes and lists are
separate, so you can’t add

store photos, set reminders
or record a voice memo and
Keep will transcribe it.

Keep is 100 per cent free with
noIAPs. While it doesn’t match
Evernote Premium’s offline or
security features, it does offer
unlimited storage as standard

For£4/$5permonth,Evernote
Premium will allow you to store
your Notebooks offline, apply a

your upload limit from 30MB to
4GB per month.

The recent 3.0 update not
only gave Google Keep a new
Android Lollipop face-lift, but
now allows you to share your
notes via email with
individuals or groups.

NOTE TYPES

Evernote is the biggest name in
note-taking apps. However, Google
has revamped its own-brand app
with a Material Design look and
new features. Can the fl agship
fi ling system compete
with Google’s
search algorithims?

All fi les are synced between
your devices (including non-
Android ones), Android Wear
smartwatch and browser. The
online Web Clipper is useful,
plus other Chrome extensions.

Between your Android phone,
Chrome browser, and Android
Wear watch, Keep is as
widely available as Evernote.
The browser version is
surprisingly lacking, though.
