1. IDENTIFICATION OF PHYTOMORPHS IN THE VOYNICH CODEX 13

1. Fol. 53r.Ambrosiasp., cf.A. ambrosioides(Fig. 1.8).The phyto-
   morph has composite heads borne on a raceme (Fig. 1.8a). Leaves are
   brown to green and sharply serrate. Roots are brown, and segmented.
   This matches the variability of Ambrosia ambrosioides (Delpino)
