  1. Fol. 42v.Calatheasp., cf.C. loeseneri(Fig. 1.39).The phytomorph
    inflorescence (Fig. 1.39a) is a crude representation of aCalatheasp.,
    probably allied toC. loeseneriJ.F. Macbr., which yields a blue dye. Many
    species ofCalatheawere recently transferred to the genusGoeppertia,
    and a synonym of this species is nowG. loesneri(J.F. Macbr.) Borschs.
    &Suarez (Borschenius et al. 2012). The crudeness of the illustration, ́
    coupled with inadequate surveys of the genusCalathea/Goeppertiain
    Mexico, prevent precise identification.
