ake Melampy is an

aviation photojournalist

from Ohio. His love of

aviation began at an

early age, being subjected to

the sights and sounds of F-

Phantoms at nearby Wright-

Patterson AFB. Since those

early days, he has gone on to

pursue a  ying career, piloting

business jets in the corporate

world from Cincinnati and

amassing nearly 10,000 hours

of  ight time in a wide variety

of aircraft. However, in his spare

time, he is nearly always trying

to point a camera at the people

and aircraft from the US military,

and especially enjoys telling

their story.
