HE NEW JERSEY Air National Guard’s
119th Fighter Interceptor Squadron
(FIS) was the last unit to operate
the F-106A Delta Dart. It was
based at Atlantic City and it lew
this magniicent ‘Century’ ighter
until August 2, 1988. The ‘Pacer Six’ program
subsequently saw some 199 F-106s being
converted as full-scale aerial targets — these
QF-106s lew on as manned and unmanned
