and nancial woes, but is
now back on a trajectory of
expansion.
Freddie Bosworth, a British former RAF
pilot and entrepreneur, started an air taxi
operation in Bahrain soon after World War
Two ended, operating ights to Doha in
Qatar and Dhahran in Saudi Arabia.
His eet comprised seven Avro Ansons,
used until 1952, and brie y during 1951
three de Havilland DH.86B four-engined
aircraft. Bosworth’s business was formally
incorporated as Gulf Aviation Company
