Model Engineers Exhibition

T

he Model Engineers

Exhibition has been a

fixture on the model show

circuit for over 60 years and

though the main concentration

of the show is large scale

engineering models three

model clubs Hornchurch, East

Middlesex, and Barnet flew the

plastic modelling flag.

Also on display was a

scratch built 1/72 scale

ship that actually drew

the attention of the

national press. Though you may

think this is outside the remit

of this Magazine the model was

of the HMS Ark Royal in the late

1970s carrying a full complement

of Phantoms, Buccaneers,

Gannets and Sea Kings, So I make

no apologies for featuring it here.
